The Entmoot

Deep within the ancient forest, the Ents gather beneath fading green light while Merry and Pippin sit silently among beings far older than kingdoms, wars, or memory itself.
 
Inspired by Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, The Entmoot does not focus on action or spectacle, but on the sacred stillness of an ancient world awakening slowly to decision. The towering tree-like figures emerge almost organically from the forest around them, blurring the boundary between living creature and landscape.
 
Atmosphere and scale play a central role within the composition: the small presence of the hobbits emphasizes both the age and quiet authority of the Ents, while the muted green palette transforms the forest into a place suspended between myth, silence, and forgotten time.
Rather than depicting a literal narrative scene, the painting approaches the Entmoot as a meditation on memory, nature, endurance, and the slow wisdom of ancient things.
